PESHAWAR: The Customs authorities have seized 170 cell phones from a passenger at the Bacha Khan International Airport.
According to a press release said, the passenger, arriving from Dubai by PK-284, was stopped over the suspicious activity. His baggage was scanned and a total of 170 cellphones worth Rs 10 million were recovered for him.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Telecom Act 1996 (sec 29), prohibits the import of cell phones.
