Bahria Town soothes Edhi with Rs50m donation

KARACHI: Chief Executive Bahria Town Zain Malik has handed over Rs 50 million cheque to Edhi Foundation chief Abdul Sattar Edhi on Friday.

Malik Riaz on Wednesday said that he would try to compensate some of the losses of Abdul Sattar Edhi.

On Friday, Bahria Town chairman Zain Malik, son of Malik Riaz, met Edhi in Karachi and presented a cheque of Rs 50 million.

He has assured Edhi to extend cooperation by his foundation for social works.

Zain said said Bahria town was standing with Edhi in this testing time. He appealed to all the philanthropists to come forward and help Edhi.

Abdul Sattar Edhi thanked the Bahria Town founder and chairman for assisting his Foundation.

Earlier, robbers had looted millions of rupees besides 5 kg gold from Abdul Sattar Edhi’s centre in Mithadar.

Currently, police is investigating the robbery case.
