Bajwa reviews revenue recovery performance of  Lahore RTOs

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Tariq Bajwa held a meeting with the chief commissioners and commissioners of Regional Tax offices (RTOs) and Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU) Lahore to review their revenue recovery performance.

As per detail, the Board chairman visited the Lahore tax offices in order to hold revenue and performance review sessions with RTOs and LTU Lahore high-ups.

Normally the RTOs remain closed on Saturdays; however, following the notice issued by FBR regarding the performance review session, all the chief commissioners and commissioners attended the office to join meeting with Chairman Tariq Bajwa.

Sources informed Customs Today that RTO-I Chief Commissioner Waqar Ahmad’s revenue collection performance was appreciated, while LTU Chief Commissioner Chaudhary Safdar was asked to improve revenue collection performace due to the lower than the average performance of the LTU.

Similarly, RTO-II Chief Commissioner Rukhsana Yasmin presented satisfactory performance of RTO, however, the chairman instructed her to improve collection to achieve targets.

The chairman also instructed the commissioners to speed-up the collection to hit chase the target.

Bajwa spent a busy day in Lahore as he reviewed performances of all the Lahore Tax offices and instructed them accordingly.
