Bajwa to participate in panel discussion of 3rd Pak-US Business Opportunities’ Conference today

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will participate in panel discussion under the auspices of the two day 3rd Pak-US Business Opportunities’ Conference today (Tuesday).

According to agenda for the said conference, after the inauguration of the conference Minister for Commerce Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan will deliver the welcome address, followed by key note address by the US Official as well as key note address by Finance Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

 The Panel discussion titled ‘Trade and Investment Opportunities in Pakistan” will start which will be moderated by Khurram Agha, Minister for Trade, Embassy of Pakistan, Washington DC

 Besides, Tariq Bajwa, Board of Investment Chairman Dr. Miftah Ismail, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce Muhammad Shehzad Arbab, Vice President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry Muhammad Akram Farid and others will also be participants in the panel discussion.

 In his speech on the occasion, Bajwa will highlight the salient features of Pakistani tax system specially related to foreign investments so that foreign investors may get full-fledged knowledge about the possible taxation while investing in Pakistan.

 Accompanied with his team members, Bajwa will also highlight achievements and milestone targets achieve by the FBR regarding tax collection. He will also make a special reference towards the government’s commitment for tax reforms. In this connection he will also mention the formation of National Tax Reforms Commission (NTRC) along with proposals and recommendations of the commission.
