Balochistan Afghan Transit Transport Owner/Broker Association illegal: Deputy Director Fazal Dad

KARACHI: The Balochistan Afghan Transit Transport Owner-Brokers Association is an illegal association and distributing pamphlets in violation of the rules and regulations.

This was stated by the Deputy Director Headquarters, Transit Trade, Fazal Dad Chaudhary in a letter forwarded to the clearing and forwarding agents who only deal with the cargo of Afghan Transit Trade.

“It has been brought in the notice of the competent authority of this Directorate General of Transit Trade that an illegal association by the name of Balochistan Afghan Transit Transport Owner/Brokers Association is distributing pamphlets with certain directives”, according to a letter available with Customs Today.

“It is therefore directed to all the concerned Afghan traders and clearing and forwarding agents to only approach the Customs bonded carriers of their choice who are dually licensed by the MCC Appraisement-West Custom House Karachi for transportation of their transit cargo instead of individual transporter or their brokers to avoid any mishap failing with they will be held responsible any eventuality”, the letter added.
