ISLAMABAD: Punjab Agriculture Department has lifted ban on cultivation of cotton before April 15 in Punjab province.
A spokesman of Punjab Agriculture Department Multan Chaudhri Asmat Naveed Kahloon said this ban was imposed for the purpose of saving cotton crop from pink boll worm. He said Punjab government had fixed the target of sowing cotton of six million acres while the target of production of cotton was 10 million bales in the province this year.
