DHAKA: Customs Intelligence officials seized 460 grms gold, 42 pieces mobile phone sets, and 20 cartons of cigarette and detained two people at Hazrat Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong.
The detainees are Easin Arafat, a resident of Lohaghora and Jaynal, a resident of Hathazari of the district.
Assistant Commissioner of customs intelligence Pronay Chakma said a flight of ‘Flydubai’ from Dubai landed at the airport.
On suspicion, customs officials searched the luggage of Arafat and Jaynal and seized 460 gms gold, 42 mobile phone sets and 20 cartons of cigarettes.
