“On Aug 10, a total of 118 cartons arrived from Hong Kong. After waiting for 21 days for a claimer, they were opened on Saturday,” said Customs Intelligence Division’s chief Moinul Khan.

The boxes contained 32 types of banned items, which can be used for VoIP or voice over internet protocol operations, he told bdnews24.com.

The cartons were destined for a certain ‘MS Sadia Trading’ at 28/B Toynbee Circular Road in Dhaka’s Motijheel, but no such organisation was found in that address, said the customs official.
