DHAKA: Customs officials arrested on Sunday an Indian citizen at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) and seized four kilograms of gold from his possession.
The preventive team of airport customs challenged Rawshan Ali (32) when he arrived in Dhaka from Bangkok by a flight BG-89, according to customs sources.
They recovered gold after searching his body. The estimated value of the seized gold is worth Tk 20 million. A process to file a case against him was underway till filing of this report at 6:30 pm on the day.
