Bangladesh exports 729 kinds of item to different countries: Commerce Minister

DHAKA: Bangladesh exports 729 items to different countries of the world. “Bangladesh usually exports 729 kinds of products abroad,” Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed told the Jatiya Sangsad (parliament) while replying to a question from Treasury Bench member.

The major export items comprise knitware, oven garment, home textile, jute and jute products, leather and leather products, frozen shrimp, dry foods, vegetables, fruits, medicine products, plastic products, handicrafts, carpets, terry towels, shoes, ceramics, bicycles, electric products, engineering equipment, furniture, ships, etc, he told the House in reply to a tabled question from Khandker Azizul Haque Arzu of Pabna-2 constituency.
