DHAKA: The National Board of Revenue (NBR) requested its stakeholders to submit their budget proposals for the fiscal year 2017-18.
The NBR made the call as part of its preparatory work for budget formulation for the next fiscal year, which it expects to be a participatory, pro-people, business-friendly and a potential revenue-generating budget.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith has already started his pre-budget discussions and the revenue authorities would also begin it soon.
To make this happen, the tax authority has requested the stakeholders, including trade bodies associations and research organisations to submit their proposals on income tax, value-added tax and customs.
Trade bodies and associations were requested to submit their proposals through the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) by March 9, 2017.
