DHAKA: Police arrested four smugglers with 450 tortoises from Machkhola village in Sadar upazila on Wednesday afternoon.
The arrestees are Kamal Chandra Shil of Barguna, Islam Dhali of Laxmidari village, Hafizur Rahman and Khrishno Bachar of Gangni village in Sadar upazila.
Being tipped-off, police raided the house of one Fazal Sardar at the village around 3:30pm seized the tortoises. They arrested the four from the house.
