DHAKA: In a marked success for Bangladesh, the government has been able to increase its implementation of the annual development programme (ADP) by 23 percent.
A total of Tk 36,923 crore, 43 percent of the total ADP has been spent between July, 2014 and March, 2015, according to data released by the planning ministry today.
Last year on the same period, Tk 29,945, (40 percent) of ADP was executed then.
Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal released the data to reporters at his ministry office – in what has been nine months of the running 2014-15 fiscal year.
The original size of the government’s annual development programme for the current fiscal year has been estimated at Tk 80,315 crore.
