KARACHI: The Central Bank has directed all the banks to facilitate the pensioners, by establishing special counters for them in branches.
According to a press release issued by the State Bank of Pakistan, the decision was taken in a meeting held in recent past and headed by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. It was ascertained during the meeting that banks should provide assistance to the pensioners regarding transfer of online pension. Besides this the banks should also become vigilant in case they do not receive non-marriage or life certificate for more than six months. State Bank has also stated that the banks should formally implement the rules regarding pensioners from December 31.
