KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that dedicated bank branches will remain open on December 31 (Saturday) for collection of duty and taxes.
In a circular issued by the central bank stated that in order to facilitate collection of government duties and taxes, the concerned branches of commercial banks will remain open on December 31, 2016 till such time is necessary to facilitate special clearing for government securities.
