Banks to issue new currency from Monday

MULTAN: The State Bank of Pakistan directed all the banks including Commercial and government banks to provide new currency notes to citizen on the Eid ul Azha from Monday.

New currency notes for the Eid occasion will be available at the main eight branches of National Bank located in the Multan City. New currency notes from 10 rupees to 100 rupees will be issued from the commercial banks. The State Bank also directed all the banks that they should provide better cash facility through Automated Teller Machine (ATM) because it’s a big issue for the public that many ATM machines are seen out of cash during Eid. The State Bank issued a notification for all banks that they should ensure that there automated teller machine should work effectively and efficiently otherwise State Bank will take action against them.
