Beelam assumes charge as Addl Collector (Adjudication) in Lahore

ISLAMABAD: Beelam Ramzan, a Pakistan Customs Service officer of BS-19, has assumed charge as Additional Collector at Collectorate of Customs (Adjudication), Lahore.

The officer, in pursuance of Board’s Notification No.1003-C-II/2017 dated 27.03.2017, relinquished the charge of the post of Additional Collector, Collectorate of Customs (Adjudication), Faisalabad with effect from March 31.

The officer, being Additional Collector (Adjudication), showed her best performance and issued several ONOs and ordered confiscation of thousands of items including vehicles in different cases.

Beelam was earlier promoted from MCC-Preventive, Lahore to ADC-MCC (Preventive), Lahore. She relinquished the charge as Additional Collector (Preventive), Lahore on September 11, 2015 and took the charge as Additional Collector (Adjudication), Faisalabad on September 14, 2015. The officer was granted performance allowance (equivalent to 100 per cent of basic pay) with effect from August 5, 2015.

Earlier, the officer assumed the charge as Deputy Director (BS-18), Directorate of Post Clearance Audit, Lahore on April 18, 2012. She was granted seven-day ex-Pakistan leaves from November 23-29, 2011 to visit Thailand. She was also given six-day leaves from October 5-31, 2011 for her visit to Thailand.

Beelam, then Customs & Excise Group officer and posted as Deputy Collector at Regional Tax Office, Faisalabad, was allowed to undertake Masons Fellows Programme at Harvard University in US under Professional Development Programme 2007-8, funded by World Bank’s Public Sector Capacity Building Project of Establishment Division from July 6, 2007 to July 30, 2008.
