MOSCOW : Belarus is Russia’s fourth biggest trading partner in the world and the first in the CIS in January-September 2018, BelTA learned from the Russian Federal Customs Service.
According to the Russian customs, in January-September 2018 the Belarusian-Russian trade amounted to $26,403.8 billion, an increase of 13.9% over the same period in 2017.
In terms of trade with Russia Belarus is over-performed by China ($78.7 billion in January-September, an increase of 27.8%), Germany ($44.1 billion, up 24.7%) and the Netherlands ($33.7 billion, 15.5%). Belarus is followed by Italy, Turkey, the United States, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Poland, Kazakhstan and France. In 2017 Belarus was also the fourth biggest trading partner of Russia among all countries of the world and the first among the CIS countries.
