MINSK: The export of trucks from Belarus has fallen 2.7fold to 772 vehicles for the first three months of 2015 compared to 2104 vehicles in January-March last year.

Foreign currency proceeds from the sales of trucks fell by less than half (45.5%) from $225.5m in the first quarter of last year to $122.9m. The average price of a vehicle grew by 48.5% from last year’s $107,200 to $159,200. The increase in the average price can be explained with the increased share of exported special vehicles (BelAZ trucks, semi-trailer trucks and dual purpose vehicles) and the decreased share of traditional MAZ trucks.
