ONTARIO: The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation (BEDC), in partnership with H. M. Customs, announced that $200,000 had been allocated annually in order to facilitate lines of credit up to $10,000 for businesses that are importing goods for retail sale on the island.
On October 28, business operators are encouraged to find out more about the “Customs and BEDC Letter of Credit” at a seminar that will take place at the BIU on Union Street from 5.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m..
The seminar is sponsored by the Department of E-Commerce and coordinated by the BEDC and will provide more information about this Letter of Credit, a product specifically designed to assist start up and existing small businesses with inventory purchases directly related to retail in order to increase sales or services.
