BANDAR LAMPUNG: Robusta coffee bean exports in April from Indonesia’s main growing area in Sumatra fell 79% from a year earlier to 4,786.2 tonnes, government trade data released today showed.
The world’s third-largest robusta producer had shipped nearly 23,000 tonnes of robusta from Sumatra in April 2015.
The April exports for this year were also down 63% from shipments of 13,082.74 tonnes in February, the data showed.
Coffee data is released monthly from the Lampung trade office in Sumatra. Figures are often revised as more complete data becomes available.
