BKIAP receives Rs03.9m of all duties & taxes during 16 days of July 2017-18

PESHAWAR: The Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIA) Peshawar earned Rs3.9million of all duties and taxes during the 1st to 16th of July Financial Year 2017-18.

According to details given by sources of the BKIA Peshawar, the customs staff collected Rs1.25million of Customs Duty (CD) whereas it did Rs0.25million of miscellaneous duties and taxes. And the BKIA Peshawar got Rs0.04million of Redemption Duty on Imports during initial 16 days of July FY2017-18.
The sources told CT that, during above said period, the BKIA received Rs0.92million of Sales Tax (ST) while it did Rs0.14million of ST on Imports. During said period, the BKIA generated Rs1.33million of Additional Income Tax (AIT).
During Financial Year FY2016-17, the BKIA Peshawar earned Rs171.20million of all duties and taxes. During said period, the BKIA received Rs46.58million of Customs Duty while it did Rs19.07million of miscellaneous taxes and surcharges. And BKIA generated Rs2.15million of Redemption Duty (RD) on Imports during FY16-17.
During FY16-17, the BKIA got Rs52.98million of Sales Tax (ST) whereas it did Rs5.98million of ST on Imports and BKIA collected Rs44.44million of Additional Income Tax (AIT), sources said. During corresponding Financial Year 2015-16, the BKIA earned Rs190million under all heads while it did Rs75.84million of total CD. The BKIA received Rs59.97million of total ST. He further told CT that BKIA generated Rs47.0million of total AIT during FY15-16.
