TOKYO: “Call of Duty” franchise has officially released “Black Ops 3” trailer which is exciting fans all over the world. The reveal trailer opens with clips from the game and how the graphics changed since the previous game.

“Weapons don’t have instincts,” a voice said. “Weapons don’t have loyalty. Weapons dont have judgements…soldiers do.” Cut to numerous clips of the game’s offerings and gameplay. “What happens when the soldier becomes the weapon?,” added the voice in the trailer. “How far can we push the technology, before it starts pushing back?” The trailer ends from there with a poster of the upcoming game and the release date which is November six, 2015.

As to the release date, fans were initially shocked as to why the creators deviated from the usual game day releases. November six is a friday in the United States. This is different from the usual day that games are released, which is particularly a Tuesday.

Following the announcement, the developers were quick to address the fans’ concerns about the day of the release. They have released an official statement regarding the sudden change. Forbes was able to conduct a short interview with Acvitision Publishing’s Senior Vice President, Rob Kostich. He explained the importance of being able to play the game during the weekends, when there usually isn’t any classes or work scheduled on.

“We thought it would be really fun for the fans to kick-off Black Ops 3 on a weekend,” said Kostich. “The Black Ops series is the most played in Call of Duty history with nearly 100 million players to date. With Black Ops 3, the team at Treyarch is really taking things to a new level.”

“There’s so much in this game across every mode of play,” the Senior Vice President added. “Campaign has been reimagined and can now be played cooperatively with your friends. Zombies, of course, are back. And multiplayer is bringing a ton of depth and new ideas to the experience.”

“So giving fans as much time as possible out of the gate to experience all the game has to offer just made a lot of sense,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, gamers have wondered as to why Friday releases haven’t been implemented before. They think that releasing games during Tuesdays should not have been implemented in the first place.

“Traditionally, here in the States, Tuesday has been a date that has worked really well for our retail partners,” explained Rob, pointing out that Tuesday releases have already become more of a tradition for both the developers and the retails partners. “Tuesday is also the day of the week that CDs and DVDs typically hit retail, a somewhat antiquated brick-and-mortar tradition.”

“For Black Ops 3, a Friday release to kick-off a weekend celebration was just something we thought our fans would really enjoy,” he shared.
