AMSTERDAM: BlackBerry has largely disappeared from the Dutch business sector. Only 3.5 percent of smartphones at businesses with 50 or more employees are BlackBerry devices, down from 40 percent four years ago, according to research by Computer Profile. Over the same period Apple and Android have each grown to around 40 percent of the market.
After Apple, Samsung is the second-largest vendor with a 27 percent market share. Samsung does particularly well in certain sectors such as transport and construction. It was followed by Nokia/Microsoft with 17.5 percent and HTC at 5.2 percent. HTC’s market share has fallen steadily, from 22 percent in 2012.
