MEXICO: A Blue Moon will shine over Kent and Sussex this Friday, July 31.The rare coloured moon has not be seen for three years, and will not be seen again until 2018.
It last appeared on August 31 2012 and will be seen again in January 2018.
There will only be 12 occurrences of the phenomenon up until 2043.
A Blue Moon is when there are two full moons in one month, a rare occurrence, hence the phrase once in a blue moon. The first full moon this month was on July 1.
So make sure you get outside into the garden on Friday and enjoy the rare sight.
