BMW introduces 2-Series Convertible: Available in three petrol variants: 220i Convertible, 228i Convertible, M235i Convertible, priced from $54,900

VICTORIA: BMW has introduced the all-new 2-Series Convertible for its valued customers. The price of the series is started from $54,900. BMW 2-Serices Convertible include 220i Convertible, 228i Convertible, and M235i Convertible. With priced from $54,900 for 220i version.

Standard specification of the all new BMW 2-Series Convertible includes alloy wheels, Driving Experience Control, stability control, alloy wheels, auto start/stop function and ECO Pro mode, rear view camera & parking sensors, cruise control with braking function and sat nav each model.

The 228i Convertible and M235i Convertible each further benefit from Bi-Xenon headlights, leather upholstery, Variable Sport Steering, BMW Individual Shadow Line (both models) or Chrome Line Exterior (228i only) and heated seats.

The roof of the new BMW 2-Series Cabrio is available in three colours as standard; black, anthracite with silver effect and brown with silver effect. The car can open or close its roof in 20 seconds and at speeds up to 31 miles per hour. Boot space is a reasonable 335 liter.

Getting access to the rear seat at the interior of the new BMW 2-Series Convertible is easier with a backrest that can be folded using a lever in the luggage compartment, while the through-loading aperture width is increased from 150mm to 450mm, and height 218mm to 246mm.

BMW 220i Convertible: $54,900

Engine: 2.0-liter four-cylinder in-line petrol generating maximum power of 135kW @ 5000-6250rpm and peak torque of 270Nm @ 1250-4500rpm.

Performance: 0-62 mph in 7.6 seconds (automatic); top speed: 145 mph.

Consumption: 6.4-6.2 liter/100 kilometers (automatic, combined average).

CO2: 149-144 g/km.

BMW 228i Convertible: $68,900

Engine: 2.0-liter four-cylinder in-line petrol engine generating 180kW @ 5000-6250rpm and peak torque of 350Nm @ 1250-4500rpm.

Performance: 0-62 mph in 6.0 seconds (automatic); top speed: 155 mph.

Consumption: 6.4-6.2 liter/100 kilometers (automatic, combined average).

CO2: 154g/km.

M235i Convertible: $85,800

Engine: 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line petrol engine generating maximum power of 240kW @ 5800-6000rpm and peak torque of 450Nm @ 1300-4500rpm.

Performance: 0-62 mph in 5.0 seconds (automatic); top speed: 155 mph.

Consumption: 7.9 liter/100 kilometers (automatic, combined average).

CO2: 184 g/km.
