Paris: The BNP Paribas Group took part in the first-ever Twitter Job Fair in Europe. BNP Paribas will this year be recruiting 1,500 permanent staff, 2,950 interns, and also providing 260 overseas internships.

The Group is delighted to be taking part in this ground-breaking Twitter event for employers and job seekers. It is aimed to link up employers and job hunters via Twitter. BNP Paribas already uses Twitter as a recruitment tool and now today, thanks to this initiative, job seekers are able to apply directly for jobs on offer across the Group.

Béatrice Perrot, Deputy Head of Recruitment at BNP Paribas, said, “In 2014 BNP Paribas was the first employer in France to recruit on Twitter with our #WeloveIT campaign. Today Twitter is an essential channel for recruiters as it enables us to interact directly with job candidates in a less formal way. BNP Paribas goes where talented people are to be found, the social networks being a prime example.”
