Lahore: Board of Revenue holds conference on land record management

LAHORE: The Punjab Board of Revenue Project Management Unit has arranged an informative conference for representatives of the Punjab Bar Council, government members and office-bearers on the project of land record management and information here on Thursday.

The participants were apprised of the importance of the project, aims and objectives and the progress made so far in this regard.

Senior Member Board of Revenue Nadeem Ashraf in a briefing informed that land record centres have been set up in 143 tehsils of the province through which fard is being provided in a short period of 30 minutes and mutation deed in 50 minutes to the land owners.

He also highlighted the benefits of the project and said that due to this project not only best and transparent services of land record are being provided to the people, but ratio of revenue received under the head of tax has also increased.

He said that according to an estimate, as a result of issuance of 1,65,000 computerized fards and 48,909 mutation deeds during last quarter of 2014, more than one billion rupees were deposited to government exchequer. Moreover, he stressed upon all departments to play their due role for the success of project.
