LAHORE: Senior Member Punjab Board of Revenue Nadeem Ashraf has suspended tehsildars of Sahiwal, DG Khan and Attock Districts for showing negligence and delay in allotment of inherited property to women and issued instructions for taking action against them.
Addressing the departmental meeting, Nadeem Ashraf said that the committees comprising Assistant Commissioners, Tehsildars and Assistant Directors land record are sending weekly reports to the government regarding wrong distribution of inherited property transfers.
He said that women are important segment of the society and they are legitimate partners in inherited property but some Revenue Officers are misusing their powers. He said that Tehsildars of these three Districts have been suspended on the complaints of the people and reports of these committees.
