BoD holds 93rd meeting: Pesco recovery up 2pc, line losses 3pc

PESHAWAR: Despite improving recovery by 2 percent, the line losses of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) have grown 3 percent during the current year.

The Pesco board of directors was informed during its 93rd meeting held at Wapda House here with its chairman Malik Mohammad Asad Khan in the chair.

During the meeting, the BOD pledged to bring down line losses and decided even seek FIA, police and NAB’s help for reduction and recovery of line losses.

The board also approved purchase of 300 distribution transformers besides deciding to ensure equal loadshedding on all feeders in the province.

On the occasion, the BoD members warned the SDOs, Xens and SEs of stern action if they failed improve performance.

Board members including Pesco Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Syed Hassan Fazil, Khaqan Murtaza Ministry Water of Power Joint Secretary and Pepco MD Musawar Ali Shah, Nasir Khan Musazai and others attended the meeting.
