KATHMANDU: Sahastra Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB) sleuths today seized charas worth Rs 29 lakh from a person at Raxual on Indo-Nepal border in Bihar’s East Champaran district.
Deputy Commandant of SSB Satish Gupta said 5 packets of charas weighing about 2.9 kg was seized by sleuths from the smuggler.
The person caught carrying the contraband has been identified as Pradip Singh, resident of Jokiyari village under Raxual police station of East Champaran district, Gupta added. On questioning, the man revealed that he had brought the charas from Nepal, the Deputy Commandant said. The arrested man has been handed over to the police.
