After lodging the FIR, the police raided his house in Model Town, but the accused was not present at his home. Zahid Hussain’s son Umair told police that his father was abroad.

It is pertinent to mention here that two days ago, cheques given by Irfan Industries and Irfan Brothers bounced in the banks. A cheque of Rs 5.1 million given by Irfan Siddique and two cheques given by the Irfan Brothers of Rs 5.4 million and Rs 5.2 million bounced.

Both the steel mills are tax defaulters of millions of rupees, and they presented cheques to the Regional Tax Office-I when the office demanded tax form the mill owners. Further proceedings are still in progress.
