BRINDEX-30 closed on lower side on 22,496.36 points with negative change

KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Monday at 22,496.36 points with a negative change of -430.86 and volume of 86,388,700 shares. High and Low were 22,993.38 and 22,448.65 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 1 were up, 29 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 134,413,960 shares. Total companies traded were 340 of which 59 were positive, 264 were negative and 17 were unchanged.

Power Generation and Distribution was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 16,335,000 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 12,425,800 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Limited with a volume of 15,499,500 and price per share of 6.24 (-0.14), Dewan Farooque Motors Limited with a volume of 8,085,500 and price per share of 16.60 (-1.00), Pak Elektron Limited with a volume of 7,846,000 and price per share of 26.19 (-1.10).

The top three advancers were Colgate Palmolive (Pakistan) Ltd with a volume of 40 and price per share of 1,950 (50.00), JDW Sugar Mills Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 300.99 (14.33), Archroma Pakistan Limited with a volume of 3,350 and price per share of 570.98 (10.47).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 300 and price per share of 1,051.34 (-53.66), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 200 and price per share of 861.10 (-43.90), Murree Brewery Co Ltd with a volume of 600 and price per share of 792.60 (-26.30).
