BRINDEX-30 closes on upper side at 21,988.04 points

KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Friday at 21,988.04 points with a positive change of 191.12 and volume of 125,195,600 shares. High and Low were 22,174.32 and 21,727.33 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 17 were up, 12 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 155,001,150 shares. Total companies traded were 335 of which 185 were positive, 129 were negative and 21 were unchanged.

Power Generation and Distribution was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 56,650,500 shares. It was followed by Technology and Communication with a total traded volume of 13,070,900 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Limited with a volume of 55,918,000 and price per share of 6.45 (0.31), TRG Pakistan Limited with a volume of 8,132,000 and price per share of 24.81 (0.35), Unity Foods Limited with a volume of 7,782,000 and price per share of 22.97 (0.81).

The top three advancers were Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 220 and price per share of 7,289 (189.00), Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 6,800 (90.00), Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 1,550 (14.90).

The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 80 and price per share of 7,900 (-200.00), Colgate Palmolive (Pakistan) Ltd with a volume of 440 and price per share of 2,000 (-10.00), Millat Tractors Limited with a volume of 40,200 and price per share of 751.75 (-9.66).
