BRINEX-30 closed on upper side at 22,912.23 points on Thursday

KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Thursday at 22,912.23 points with a positive change of 265.23 and volume of 150,750,700 shares. High and Low were 22,937.57 and 22,647 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 26 were up, 4 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 239,527,010 shares. Total companies traded were 372 of which 256 were positive, 98 were negative and 18 were unchanged.

Technology and Communication was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 38,059,700 shares. It was followed by Transport with a total traded volume of 34,649,400 shares.

The three top traded companies were Pakistan International Bulk Terminal Limited with a volume of 31,169,000 and price per share of 12.64 (0.90), Worldcall Telecom with a volume of 15,619,500 and price per share of 1.81 (0.17), Pak Elektron Limited with a volume of 12,264,500 and price per share of 27.65 (0.69).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 340 and price per share of 1,086 (46.00), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 300 and price per share of 874.29 (41.29), Indus Motor Company Limited with a volume of 26,320 and price per share of 1,245.62 (31.53).

The top three decliners were Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 380 and price per share of 2,620 (-137.59), Mari Petroleum Company Limited with a volume of 56,740 and price per share of 1,292.97 (-48.01), Bhanero Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 400 and price per share of 890.45 (-46.86).
