NEW YORK: British high-end sportscar maker, Group Lotus plc is consolidating its US operations to one location in Ann Arbor as it readies for the launch of the 2017 Evora 400 in North America.
In a statement today, the company said its Lotus Cars USA, Inc, currently based in Lawrenceville, Georgia, will be “co-located” with Lotus Engineering, Inc in Ann Arbor.
“This will ensure that both divisions can grow their individual operations, while benefiting from improved efficiency through sharing a number of business functions,” it said.
It said the move was expected to be completed by the end of this July.
Group Lotus plc chief executive officer, Jean-Marc Gales, said the Lotus Evora 400 combined high performance with the legendary Lotus benchmark handling.
“It is a high performance machine for those discerning buyers seeking a hand-built British-built sports car that possess a more involving driving experience and greater agility,” he said.
