BROWARD: A Broward preschool teacher has admitted she was part of a conspiracy to smuggle more than 667 pounds of marijuana into Palm Beach County.
39-year-old Tarakiki Dozier, of Margate, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to import marijuana during a hearing Thursday.
Law enforcement in Palm Beach County seized the haul of marijuana from a boat on Feb. 7, 2013. Investigators discovered 96 packages containing more than 667 pounds of the drug.
Dozier admitted she acted as a go-between for a Bahamian resident and another man who was expecting to receive at least some of the drug shipment.
Dozier is the daughter of the Rev. O’Neal Dozier, a political activist and leader of Pompano Beach’s Worldwide Christian Center.
