Budget 2015-16: PM urged to facilitate farmers, give agri sector priority

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been urged to give priority to the agriculture sector and address the issues of farmers.

The appeal was made at a pre-budget meeting of the parliamentary party leaders of the PML-N that was chaired by the prime minister.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar briefed the parliamentary party leaders about the salient features of budget 2015-16. He told the party’s lawmakers about the economic survey and the budget. The party’s lawmakers also gave their budget proposals.

In their proposals, They suggested increase in allocations for the agriculture sector and asked the prime minister to announce huge subsidy for farmers.
