OTTAWA: At the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance during Monterey Car Week 2015, Bugatti has put on display some of its finest ever models.
Certainly one of the most amazing classic Bugatti being displayed in Monterey is the Type 57SC Corscia Roadster. At the time of its launch, it was one of the world’s fastest roadsters with a top speed of 200 km/h and is one of just 43 units in existence. Powering the car is a 170 hp engine and while that doesn’t sound like much today, it was quite impressive at the time.
Elsewhere we have a gorgeous Bugatti Type 55 Super Sport Roadster. While 38 examples were produced, just 28 are still in existence and this particular example is a 1932 model. Another iconic Bugatti of yesteryear taking part in Monterey Car Week is the Type 35 which holds the accolade as one of the most successful racing cars ever.
On a modern front, an eye-catching example of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is on display. In previous years, Bugatti has often unveiled special versions of the Veyron at Monterey but as we know, production of the world’s fastest production car ended in March.
