Bulgaria increased barley exports to Saudi Arabia by 47%

RIYADH: In 2015/16 Bulgarian barley exports lowered due to lower crop in 2015. Thus, total barley exports equaled 435 KMT, which was 21.5% lower than over 2014/15 (553 KMT).

According to UkrAgroConsult, in 2015/16 Bulgaria managed to increase barley exports to the market of Saudi Arabia by 47% to 188 KMT. Thus, share of Saudi Arabia reached 43% in the Bulgarian barley export structure against 23% in 2014/15. 27.5% of the exported volume was shipped in the destination of EU countries. Last week, slight decline in demand was noted in barley market, but prices remained supported by adjacent markets of feed wheat and corn.
