SOFIA: Bulgarian customs officers have confiscated EUR 370,000 hidden in a passenger car travelling from Germany to Turkey.
The car, Audi A6, was stopped for inspection at Kalotina crossing, on the border with Serbia, although the two men in the vehicle, a Turkish citizen and a German one, said they had nothing to declare.
A search of the car found EUR 370,000 stashed in cavities of the body of the car, the Bulgarian Customs Agency said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Customs Agency did not say in which country the car had been registered.
