LONDON: Appearances and teasers for “Destiny” have been appearing left and right as the weekend draws closer. The latest in official announcements from Bungie is that it will be bringing back the Doubles Skirmish following the experimental run some time ago.

“Doubles Skirmish has returned to the Crucible! Grab your most trusted ally and enter the fight,” said Bungie over the official Twitter.

Doubles Skirmish is a 2v2 player mode that may have seen some success among players, reports Gamezone. As the name suggests, you have two Guardian Fireteams locked in a deathmatch, with enabled revives and scarce heavy ammo.

On the forefront of teasers, VG 24/7 also spotted an unusual anomaly for the upcoming “House of Wolves” DLC. According to the report, YouTuber Arekkz Gaming has discovered that the DLC is now available for download at the Xbox Store. It appears that this only happens for those who already have a copy of the expansion pass. The downloadable file is small, and appears to be an authentication file. But it follows a similar trend to previous DLC The Dark Below, wherein the content for the expansion was part of a patch that came ahead of the actual DLC release. This might signal a couple of new sightings and data mining from fans, if the leak is true.

Redditor dpughnz had compiled the link to the Bungie artists’ works, which showcase nothing but quality artwork for the game. Many fans agree that one of the strong points of “Destiny” as a game is the artwork and the detail that the developer has put into it.

David Stammel, Hard Surface Artist at Bungie, showcased a number of weapons and guns. Some may be familiar to players, including the Rocket Launcher, Sniper Rifle, Patience and Time and some Vex and Fallen weapons.

For a view of some vehicles, Hard Surface Art Lead Rajeev Nattam showed off some of the transport vehicles in “Destiny.” There are renders of the Racer, the Cabal Interceptor, the Moon Rover, Hawk Transport and Hive Transport.

Of course, the sights in “Destiny” are among the most memorable ones. Dorje Bellbrook, concept artist at Bungie, shows off the Ishtar Cliffs, the Venus Dig Site, shots of the Moon Base, the Mars Transit and even the Black Garden in Mars. For more renders of weapons, “Destiny” senior artist Mark Van Haitsma’s page also showcases a number of them in full colour while fellow senior artist Milton Cadogan shows off a few more base renders of rifles and the Fallen relic.
