ISLAMABAD: Despite announcing the establishment of Export Import Bank of Pakistan during budget of fiscal year 2014-15, it is still far away from reality.

As per details, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced in the budget speech of 2014-15 about establishment of Export Import Bank of Pakistan as it was one of the major demands of importers and exporters of the country. But after lapse of about 11 months, EXIM Bank of Pakistan could not see the light.

Community also informed that a citizen also filed a petition with Federal Ombudsman following delay in formation of EXIM Bank of Pakistan.

According to Secretary General of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Majid Shabbir, EXIM Bank is still the demand of business community.
