LAHORE: Small traders demanded the Federal Board of Revenue to introduce simple formula for tax payment and refund system.
They also asked the government to announce business friendly budget for fiscal year 2015-16, adding that imposition of more taxes over the business could not only create problems for traders but also increase unemployment in the region.
They also said that smuggling and under invoicing were harmful for local industry and markets and urged government to come on hard against such elements.
Traders also said that government should withdraw the FBR’s power regarding the access to bank accounts.
They pointed out that government should also stop the smuggling of goods from Afghanistan into Pakistan to save the local producers and markets.
