Business friendly policies can boost textile exports: Nadeem Allahwala

FAISALABAD: Senior Vice President Faisalabad Chambers of Commerce and Industry Nadeem Allahwala Pakistani textile manufacturing units has huge potential, which could be realised through business oriented policies

Talking to Customs Today, he said Pakistan is fifth largest cotton producing country but in value addition our performance is not up to the mark, adding that Bangladesh is earning much more than Pakistan by importing raw cotton and exporting value added products of it.

Furthermore, he said that graduates of National Textile University (NTU) have played a major role in bringing the qualitative improvement in Pakistan textile sector, suggesting that “we must encourage them by offering job opportunities in future.”

He also lauded the efforts of National Textile University (NTU), towards industry-academia linkages and assured that academic meetings will be arranged in FCCI to promote relation between industry and academic institutions.
