Businessmen Group clean sweeps Paper Merchants Association polls

LAHORE: Businessmen Group has made clean sweep by winning all seats of All Pakistan Paper Merchants Association (APPMA) Northern Zone.

Total 273 votes were polled out of 339. APPMA Businessmen Group candidates Malik Muhammad Rafiq got 251 votes, Sheikh Asim Daud 254, Zahid Maqsood Butt 249, Khawaja Muhammad Abbas 246, Fayyaz Ahmad Qadri 243 and Safeer Riaz Butt got 245 votes while the rivals Ahmad Raza of Akbari Paper Store got only 43 and Sheikh Ahmed Waheed of GM Paper Mart got only 27 votes.

Five candidates of Businessmen Group Khamis Saeed Butt, Khawar Saeed Butt, Shabbir Bhatti, Muhammad Afzal, Asma Khamis and Shamsa Khawar have already been elected unopposed.

Meanwhile, Chairman Pakistan Industrial & Traders Associations Front (PIAF) Malik Tahir, Javed, President of Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry Engineer Sohail Lashari, Senior Vice President Mian Tariq Misbah and Vice President Kashif Anwar have congratulated Businessmen Group for winning all seats of All Pakistan Paper Merchants Association and hoped that new office-bearers and EC members would utilize their best abilities for the welfare of traders attached with paper business.
