WARSAW: In a September projection, the agency had forecast that the Polish economy would grow 3.5 percent in 2018.
Moody’s revised downwards its projection for Poland’s general government deficit this year to 1.8 percent of GDP. It also lowered its 2018 public debt forecast for Poland to 51.6 percent of GDP.
Moody’s said its GDP forecast was based on the assumption that Poland’s conflict with the EU would not escalate.
Warsaw has been locked in a row with Brussels over sweeping legal changes by Poland’s ruling conservatives.
