ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet on Saturday approved investigations against former defence minister Khawaja Asif for holding Iqama during his tenure as a minister.

She said that the cabinet has referred the case to Interior Ministry, and the investigation will take into account the countries who have interests with the company which gave Iqama to Asif, adding that the case was ‘a serious security breach’. The special assistant said that Judge Arshad Malik’s statement is ‘an eye-opener’,

Dr Awan in a thinly veiled criticism on Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, said that a political newbie spoke in English to his foreign masters in Sukkur in the garb of a political rally.

On the question of the strike by traders all over the country, Dr Awan said that tax reforms are necessary and it should be implemented all over the country.
