Canada authorities seize marijuana in New Brunswick

RENOUS: Correctional Service Canada says it has seized marijuana at the Atlantic Institution in New Brunswick.

The service says in a statement that a package containing 64 grams of marijuana was found a week ago at the maximum security facility in Renous.

The statement did not say how the drugs were seized or if charges are pending.

It says staff use ion scanners and drug dogs to search buildings, personal property, inmates and visitors.

It has also set up a telephone tip line for people who may have information about drugs or security breaches at federal institutions.
