OTTAWA: The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) seized of over 12 kg of suspected cocaine at Pearson International Airport here the other day.
CBSA officers found the illicit shipment after monitoring the offload of luggage from an aircraft originating from the Dominican Republic.
They noticed a black suitcase with a seemingly recycled bag tag and found ten brick-shaped bundles wrapped in clothing after examining the contents of the bag.
The bundles were subsequently tested and found to contain suspected cocaine, which was turned over to Peel police.
There is no word yet on any suspects.
